Autopsy is a premier end-to-end open source digital forensics platform for hard drive analysis that is used by thousands of digital investigators worldwide.  The platform is known for being fast, intuitive, and extensible with a vibrant open source community that supports it.

The Autopsy 3 Training class, led by Basis Technology, will be a hands-on case study providing an in-depth education on the Swiss Army knife every digital investigator should have in their tool chain.  At the end of this course attendees will be able to use Autopsy 3 to execute an end-to-end digital investigation on a hard drive and understand the best practices when using Autopsy for optimal results.

This class is two full days with a lunch break from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm.  (Lunch will be provided.)

What to Bring

Attendees should bring notebooks, pens, and their laptops if they don’t want to use a classroom laptop during the training class.  If attendees choose to bring their own laptop, it should have Windows 7, 8 GB RAM, 3 Ghz processor, 10 GB of free disk space, and the latest release of Autopsy 3 installed.

Otherwise, Basis Technology will provide the following material for use during the training class: laptops, Autopsy software, case studies, and test data.
